Within Thales, the Software Core for Computer based systems Group (SC2) located in Massy (France) has a mission to study and provide middleware solutions for future Thales systems and is acting for the whole Thales group. SC2 has contributed to a number of Europeans and industrial projects in the field of the real time, embedded systems and system of systems as well. These projects include the RNTL project Flex-eWare (leader) and ITEA2 projects S4ALL and SEMEASY (leader), which deal deeply with the use of semantic in order to improve interoperability of components or systems.
