The "Laboratoire d'Informatique de Paris 6", or LIP6, aims to be the European Centre of Excellence for research and application.
It has a very large spectrum of research activities: from network, distributed systems, databases, languages and proofs, simulation and distributed programming, numerical and symbolic computation, software for research on Computer Science and decision, symbolic methods and proofs, artificial life, entity and the society of robots.
The MoVe team is part of the Network and Distributed Systems department. MoVe does research in the context of SOA, where it develops new approaches and applies results obtained before in the context of object- and component-oriented systems, to which SOA have strong relationships. Concerning this proposal, MoVe also leverages past research on markovain decision processes, QoS contracts in UML and component models, dynamic adaptability of software and reflective architectures.
